Yoenis Cespedes has had some trouble in left field at Angel Stadium of Anaheim this week. Luckily, the Oakland Athletics outfielder has had more than enough arm to make up for a couple of misplays.

Cespedes fumbled a ball in left field Tuesday night, but he threw an absolute missile from the warning track to gun down a runner at home plate. On Wednesday night, Cespedes once again bobbled a ball in the outfield on an Albert Pujols base hit to left. Cespedes struggled to pick the ball up as the Angels slugger looked to round second and head to third.

Bad idea. Like, really bad idea.

Cespedes finally stuck a fork in it and came up firing. He threw another strike, this time to third base, and was able to get Pujols by a lot. It’s Cespedes’ league-leading ninth outfield assist of the season.
