Zdeno Chara, Tuukka Rask Named To NHL 1st All-Star Team; Torey Krug Makes All-Rookie Team

Torey KrugIn addition to all of the NHL awards handed out Tuesday night in Las Vegas, the first and second All-Star teams and the All-Rookie team for the 2013-14 season were announced.

These teams are voted on by the members of the Professional Hockey Writers Association.

The Anaheim Ducks led the way with four players selected to the three All-Star teams. The Bruins were the only team with three.

Here’s a recap of all three teams.

NHL First All-Star Team

Center: Sidney Crosby, Pittsburgh Penguins

Right Winger: Corey Perry, Anaheim Ducks

Left Winger: Jamie Benn, Dallas Stars

Defenseman: Zdeno Chara, Boston Bruins

Defenseman: Duncan Keith, Chicago Blackhawks

Goaltender: Tuukka Rask, Boston Bruins

 

NHL Second All-Star Team

Center: Ryan Getzlaf, Anaheim Ducks

Right Winger: Alex Ovechkin, Washington Capitals

Left Winger: Joe Pavelski, San Jose Sharks

Defenseman: Alex Pietrangelo, St. Louis Blues

Defenseman: Shea Weber, Nashville Predators

Goaltender: Semyon Varlamov, Colorado Avalanche

 

NHL All-Rookie Team

Center: Nathan MacKinnon, Colorado Avalanche

Left Winger: Ondrej Palat, Tampa Bay Lightning

Right Winger: Tyler Johnson, Tampa Bay Lightning

Defenseman: Torey Krug, Boston Bruins

Defenseman: Hampus Lindholm, Anaheim Ducks

Goaltender: Frederik Andersen, Anaheim Ducks
