Tom Glavine, Greg Maddux and Frank Thomas made the Baseball Hall of Fame’s 2014 class, and all three are deserving because of their legendary playing careers.
Sometimes, however, players not as deserving receive some votes from baseball writers.
Current Colorado Rockies manager Walt Weiss compiled just a .258 batting average and a .677 OPS during his 14-year playing career, yet he received one vote during the 2006 election.
