Arian Foster took a page out of New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick’s media handbook.

The All-Pro Houston Texans running back had turned down interview requests throughout organized team activities and training camp, but Foster (sort of) spoke to the media after a practice Wednesday.

After missing two days of practice due to an injury sustained Sunday, many reporters asked Foster how he was feeling physically. One asked about Texans fans, and another asked about the offseason.

But Foster didn’t answer any of those questions. Each one of his answers in the 90-second interview was some variation of, “I’m just trying to be the best teammate I can be.”

As Pats fans likely remember, Belichick went with this interview method last season when asked about injuries to tight end Rob Gronkowski and wide receiver Danny Amendola.
