Red Sox Strand Nine Baserunners In Loss To Houston Astros (Video)

The Boston Red Sox offense came up short again.

Despite Jake Peavy’s stellar seven-inning effort, the Red Sox fell 3-2 to the Houston Astros on Saturday.

Boston was not without its chances, however, as the team left nine┬árunners on base. Their season total now sits at 695 men left on base — third-most in all the MLB. Catcher David Ross said the team’s offensive issues are not from a lack of trying.

“Well, we all try to get hits,” Ross said after the game. “Every time up there we try to get hits and drive in runs. I mean, that’s all we can do.”

Check out the rest of what Ross had to say in the video above.
