Brock HoltBrock Holt has been a busy man lately, and that isn’t about to change this weekend.

The do-it-all utility man will make his second career start at shortstop Saturday night, replacing Stephen Drew and batting leadoff for the Boston Red Sox as they take on the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park.

Holt and rookie catcher Christian Vazquez helped spark Boston to an 8-3 win in the series opener Friday, but Vazquez will get a break Saturday as David Ross starts behind the plate, batting eighth.

Also returning to the Red Sox’s lineup are first baseman Mike Napoli, who will bat fourth after Mike Carp took his spot Friday, and Mookie Betts, who will start in right field and bat ninth.

Jonny Gomes also returns to the Red Sox’s lineup, playing in left field and batting fifth.

Amid swirling trade rumors, right-hander Jake Peavy will take the mound for Boston, hoping to earn his second win of the season.

For the Astros, outfielder George Springer is back in Saturday’s lineup after missing Friday’s contest with “general soreness.”
