Just because NHL development camps don’t necessarily have much effect on the upcoming regular season doesn’t mean they’re not important.
The Boston Bruins began theirs on Wednesday, and already young players are trying to show their best stuff to the B’s front office and management.
“Is it unrealistic to believe that they’re all going to play for the Boston Bruins? Probably,” Bruins assistant general manager Don Sweeney said.
“But that doesn’t mean you don’t walk through the door and try and establish yourself as a potential National Hockey League player, and that’s what I think each and every one of these guys are feeling.”
