Jordan CaronThe Boston Bruins announced the signings of a bevy of young players Friday afternoon, the most notable of which being 23-year-old winger Jordan Caron.

In addition to Caron, who tallied a goal and two assists in 35 games for the Bruins last season, the team also inked deals with defenseman Tommy Cross, forward Craig Cunningham, forward Tyler Randell and defenseman Zach Trotman, and agreed to terms with forward Justin Florek on a one-year, two-way contract worth $600,000 at the NHL level and $90,000 in the AHL.

Caron’s contract, a one-year, one-way deal, is worth $600,000 for the upcoming season — a $40,000 pay cut from his 2013-14 salary. The deals signed by Cross ($600,000 NHL, $72,500 AHL), Cunningham ($600,000 NHL, $85,000 AHL) and Randell ($575,000 NHL, $70,000 AHL) all are of the one-year, two-way variety. Trotman’s is a two-year deal — two-way in 2014-15 ($600,000 NHL, $80,00 AHL) and one-way in 2015-16 ($650,000).

Randell is the only player in the group who has yet to appear in an NHL game.
