In case you forgot, former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson is playing for the Montreal Alouettes in the Canadian Football League, and he’s not making a big impact.
Ochocinco has recorded just two catches for 20 yards, and the Alouettes are 1-1 on the year.
What he is doing and doing well, though, is racking up parking tickets on the streets of Montreal.
It’s not that the wide receiver is intentionally breaking parking laws. He just can’t read French, and this makes it difficult for him to understand the signs in the French-speaking city.
Here’s Johnson’s tweet to the mayor of Montreal pleading his case:
@DenisCoderre Denis, I love you but I’m having trouble with parking tickets, most of the parking signs are in french, I’ve 15 tickets. Help

And the mayor’s response:
@ochocinco ok we will meet. Meantime we will give you a crash course to understand our parking signs so you don’t catch a ticket… again — DenisCoderre (@DenisCoderre) July 8, 2014
It’s unclear if Johnson will have more parking tickets than catches this season.
Hey, at least the infractions are making him go green.
Going to use the subway system this morning to get to Parc Olympique stadium for work due to the increase in parking tickets I’ve received.
