The Houston Astros strike out a lot. The Kansas City Royals don’t.
Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Clay Buchholz struck out 12 Astros on Sunday, but don’t expect him to do the same when he takes the mound against Kansas City on Friday.
The Royals’ batters have struck out less than any team in the MLB with 553 strikeouts on the season. They also have the fifth-most hits of any team with 858.
Buchholz has greatly improved since returning from the disabled list, but will it be enough?
