dj2After playing three full innings in his final All-Star Game on Tuesday night, Derek Jeter walked off Target Field to a three-minute standing ovation as the sell-out crowd honored No. 2.

After exchanging hugs with his American League teammates as the National League team stood at the top of their dugout applauding the iconic Yankee, Jeter took a curtain call before the game resumed.

The 14-time All-Star went out on top with a great performance, going 2-for-2 with a double and a run scored as the AL topped the NL 5-3, before being replaced by White Sox infielder Alexei Ramirez in the fourth inning.

From start to finish, it was a memorable night for the Captain that was made even more memorable by the warm reception he received.
