German Fans Asked To Remain In Stadium After World Cup Rout Of Brazil

In the wake of Germany’s 7-1 rout of Brazil in the 2014 FIFA World Cup semifinals, the host country isn’t taking any chances.

With the threat of riots and violence in Belo Horizonte looming, the German fans were asked to remain in their seats and stay in Estadio Mineiro after the game ended for their safety.

The complete domination certainly stunned the Brazilian team and fans alike, as Germany scored five goals in an 18-minute span to build a lead it had no problem maintaining throughout the game.

Germany advances to the World Cup final, where it will face either Argentina or the Netherlands on Sunday.
