If you’ve ever played a “Madden NFL” game, you’d know that each player has various ratings and that the developers are tough when it comes to determining them.

Apparently, this year’s incoming rookies didn’t realize that.

The people at EA Sports asked some of the top rookies — including Jadeveon Clowney, Johnny Manziel and Sammy Watkins — what they thought their ratings were. Then, they showed them.

Though some of them were guessing numbers in the 90s, they were likely being shown numbers in the 70s, or even below. Very few players on any team’s roster hit numbers in the 90s, and barely any of those players are rookies.

Polygon noted that in last year’s “Madden NFL 25,” Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy and New York Jets defensive end Sheldon Richardson — the offensive and defensive Rookies of the Year last season — were only rated 82 and 86 overall, respectively. And only eight second-year players broke into the 90s.

Needless to say, the numbers these rookies were shown likely were very humbling.
