Joey ChestnutJoey Chestnut was hungry for more.

For the eighth consecutive year, the competitive eater won the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest.

Chestnut wolfed down an impressive 61 hot dogs in just 10 minutes — eight hot dogs shy of his record-breaking 69 eaten last year — on Friday in Coney Island, N.Y. It was the third-fewest he has eaten during his title run.

At least one person was not impressed with Chestnut’s performance.

Chestnut’s win ends an eventful day for the 30-year-old. Before the contest started, he proposed to his girlfriend, Neslie Ricasa. July 4, 2014 surely will be a day for him to remember.
