Oakland Athletics third baseman Josh Donaldson has crashed into the tarp at O.co Coliseum over and over again in his relentless pursuit of foul balls. For this reason, his catch in Oakland’s 5-1 win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday night should come as no surprise.
Donaldson’s latest confrontation with the tarp came in the top of the eighth inning, when he darted to his right and made a great catch while making heavy impact with the tarp once again.

We’re going to go ahead and say that Donaldson’s ability to handle the tarp has become quite the home-field advantage for the A’s.
