Baseball teams have worn some interesting alternate jerseys in recent years. The Kalamazoo Growlers, though, might have topped them all.

The Growlers — a college summer team in the Northwoods League — on Thursday night wore uniforms that selfie lovers everywhere would admire. Starting April 1, the team collected over 500 selfies from fans to create the “selfie jersey.” Over 300 of the pictures were put together in a collage to create the final product.

Many have knocked the jerseys, but Growlers pitcher Jacob Trejo was a fan of them.

“I was afraid the pictures might get distorted, but they turned out very nice,” Trejo said, via MLive.com.

Even infielder Jake Scudder from the opposing Wisconsin Woodchucks said he thought the uniforms were “really cool.”

Fans in attendance were able to purchase the jerseys at the stadium, according to MLive.com. And for those unlucky people who couldn’t make the game but are dying to get their hands on one of the jerseys, do not worry. The uniforms worn by the players will be available in a silent auction, and Growlers president Brian Colopy said more could be available to buy at a later date.
