The last time LeBron James wore No. 23, the Cleveland Cavaliers lost to the Boston Celtics in the 2010 Eastern Conference semifinals. He then turned in his Cleveland uniform to take his talents to the Miami Heat, where he wore No. 6 for four years.

Now, he’s going back to No. 23.

James announced on his Instagram account Sunday that he’d be going back to the No. 6 uniform, posting the caption “23 it is! It’s only right I go back. 2·3=6 We still family 6. #HomeTeam #StriveForGreatness.”

James asked his followers on Instagram which number he should wear earlier this month, posting a picture with himself in both a No. 23 and a No. 6 uniform.

James had worn the No. 23 since his sophomore year of high school before wearing No. 6 with the Heat, where he appeared in four consecutive NBA Finals appearances and won two NBA championships.
