Miami Heat fans have a reputation for being front-runners who really just aren’t very good friends. One fan, however, took LeBron James’ departure a little hard Friday.

Shortly after James announced he was leaving Miami to rejoin the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami “fans” got upset. One fan in particular decided they were going to send a message by undoing someone’s hard work.

Somebody spray-painted black over James’ face on a Heat mural in downtown Miami. The mural, which features members of the Heat’s 2012 NBA championship team, reportedly took artist Serge Toussaint two years to complete, according to Local10.com.

Quick side note, though: Why does Heat coach Erik Spoelstra have a mustache?

Anyway, one person who’s taking the high road is Heat owner Micky Arison. Not wanting to be the next Dan Gilbert, Arison went the classy route Friday when he tweeted his thanks to James for four pretty impressive seasons on South Beach.
