LeBron JamesThe Internet is a funny place, and it’s a place where fiction becomes perceived reality very quickly. We saw both of those notions come together on Thursday afternoon thanks to, of course, LeBron James.

The all-world basketball player has become an all-world annoyance this week as he continues to drag his feet when it comes to his decision on where he’ll play basketball next season. Reports started to surface Thursday afternoon, however, that LeBron was coming down from the mountain top (or Las Vegas) to make his long-awaited decision.

According to one report, a decision was coming Thursday night, and Ohio police officers were told to be on alert. Cops were stationed at and around James’ mansion in Ohio, and they weren’t alone. Cleveland Cavaliers fans flocked to James’ residence with hopes that they’d catch a glimpse of the superstar with even greater hopes that he’d announce he was going to rejoin the Cavs.

No announcement came, though, and those people wasted their time. However, as these situations often do, the tiresome saga led to a new humorous Twitter account. Not long after stakeouts around James’ house began, the Twitter account “LeBron’s Lawn” appeared.

Some of the tweets actually were pretty good.
