The effects of Mariano Rivera’s retirement have been far-reaching, according to ESPN’s newest “This Is SportsCenter” commercial.

The 30-second spot, which will first air during Monday night’s Home Run Derby, features Metallica looking for a new sports gig to no avail. With the New York Yankees closer hanging up his cleats after the 2013 season, taking his “Enter Sandman” intro with him, the group desperately needs a new athlete for whom to provide entrance music.

The group targets Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski and golfer John Daly, but receive hard no’s from the both of them, so they’re forced to get a little more creative with their talents, offering guitar lessons in the ESPN break room.

ESPN’s Stuart Scott ensures that doesn’t go over well for them either, though.
