Monday was not a good day for the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. It was an even worse day for the unlucky owner of a white SUV.

The Sox suffered a 14-1 beatdown at the hands of the Toronto Blue Jays thanks to a nine-run outburst by the Jays in the sixth inning. Leading the offensive onslaught was Toronto outfielder Melky Cabrera, who absolutely crushed a three-run homer over the Green Monster in left field to extend his team’s lead to 9-0.

The ball got out of the park in a hurry and caused some unintended damages in the process, smashing the windshield of a car in a parking lot across the street.

Cabrera’s long ball — which was unofficially measured at 410 feet — came off Red Sox reliever Felix Doubront, who withstood the bulk of the Jays’ attack by surrendering six earned runs in just 2/3 innings pitched.

On the bright side, at least Doubront’s car windshield is still intact.
