Metta World Peace (formerly Ron Artest) has developed a reputation over the years as being a very physical basketball player.
He’s also known for occasionally being a hothead, and his short temper apparently boiled over during a rec league game this weekend.
After taking a hard hit while driving to the basket during a Venice Basketball League game in Los Angeles, World Peace turned around and gave his opponent a vicious shove.

The 34-year-old’s anger appears to extend beyond this brief incident, as World Peace took to Twitter on Monday to voice his displeasure about the league’s lack of foul calls.

World Peace might be right, but if he’s hoping to garner the attention of an NBA team, shoving a player on camera during a rec league game definitely isn’t the best way to do it.
The NBA veteran signed a two-year deal with the New York Knicks last July but was waived by the team this February, prompting many to wonder whether his playing days might be numbered.
If there’s one thing this video shows, though, he certainly hasn’t lost his competive spirit.
