BrzaT7pIIAEGNOf“Seinfeld” debuted 25 years ago, but the show remains timeless, even today. That includes all of the connections the sitcom made to America’s pastime, and there sure are a lot of them.

So many that MLB.com was able to create a list of the top 25 baseball-related moments on “Seinfeld,” bringing middle-aged men and women back to their childhood.

Here are five of the best moments from the piece, written by Anthony Castrovince:

“What the hell did you trade Jay Buhner for?” — George Steinbrenner’s appearance in the Costanza home in Queens forever will be remembered as the day George’s dad, Frank, cared more about a Yankees trade than he did about where his missing son was.

“My baseball people loved Ken Phelps’ bat,” Steinbrenner explained to Frank. “They kept saying ‘Ken Phelps, Ken Phelps, Ken Phelps!’ ”

“Aren’t you the guy who put us in that Ramada in Milwaukee?” — George meets Derek Jeter and Bernie Williams, hoping to show them his newly acquired home run power. The two Yankees stars look on unimpressed.

“There’s a southpaw down there nobody’s been able to get a look at — something Rodriguez.” — Steinbrenner decides that a scouting pipeline to Cuba could be very beneficial to the Yankees, so he sends George on a hilarious scouting venture.

“Hey! Body Suit Man!” — George decides he wants to get out of his contract with the Yankees to join the Mets, and ultimately goes as far as to run out onto the field with nothing but a flesh-colored body suit on. As you might remember, his plan didn’t go so well.

“Nice game, pretty boy.” — Newman directed those words at a Mets pitcher, who proceeded to spit on him and Kramer out of frustration. Jerry then indulges into an investigation, which ultimately ends when he finds out the spitting culprit is Roger McDowell.
