If you liked those wacky 2014 FIFA World Cup commercials, you’ll  love Major League Soccer’s latest buzz-generating effort.

The 2013 MLS MVP Mike Magee leads a cast of MLS stars in a new skit titled “Mike Magee’s Day Off” — a spoof of the hit 1986 film “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.”

KICKTV produced the spot in which Magee fakes an illness in order to miss a day of practice with the Chicago Fire. Magee then enlists U.S. men’s and women’s national team stars Omar Gonzalez and Sydney Leroux to join him on a hijink-filled day in and around Chicago.

Other notable MLS figures such as Thierry Henry, Michael Bradley and Bruce Arena and U.S. women’s national team goalkeeper Hope Solo also make cameo appearances in “Mike Magee’s Day Off.”

Bravo, KICKTV and Mike Magee. You nailed it.
