EA Sports’ “NHL 15” video game — set to be released Sept. 9 across most major consoles — will include several exciting new gameplay features for fans with an Xbox One or PlayStation 4.

One of those features is the “superstar skill stick,” which gives users more control over their favorite NHL players. With the right analog stick, gamers can stick handle, deke and create scoring chances with more fluidity. This features will come in handy when controlling players with high skill ratings, such as Detroit Red Wings center Pavel Datsyuk and Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby.

The physics engine also will be improved so that each bounce of the puck, huge hit and player movement create a life-like experience.

Patrice Bergeron will be on the cover of this year’s game, marking the first time a Boston Bruins player has graced the cover since “NHL 94.”
