Pittsburgh Pirates’ Josh Harrison Escapes Rundown With Crazy Moves (Video)

Pittsburgh Pirates utility man Josh Harrison can escape a rundown like no other player can.

The first-time National League All-Star narrowly avoided getting tagged in a pickle during a June 27 game against the New York Mets. Harrison topped that performance on Sunday against the Colorado Rockies with some elusive moves that any NFL team would like to have in its backfield.

Harrison initially overslid second base after successfully swiping the bag on a steal attempt. He then got into a long rundown, dodging tags as if they were incoming bullets.

Finally, after going back and forth, Harrison faked out Rockies catcher Wilin Rosario to slide safely into third base. He then scored a few batters later on an Ike Davis double.

But Harrison’s day was not over after the rundown. He blasted a solo home run in the eighth inning that proved to be the game-winner for the Pirates. Harrison might not be an elite player, but he sure is fun to watch.
