Red Sox Announce Signings Of 11 Picks In 2014 MLB Draft; 12 Remaining

The Boston Red Sox announced Tuesday the signings of 11 players selected in the 2014 first-year player draft.

The list of newly signed draftees signed includes four pitchers, three catchers, two outfielders and two infielders:

Reed Reilly, RHP (seventh round)
Ben Moore, C (eighth round)
Cole Sturgeon, OF (10th round)
Jordan Procyshen, C (14th round)
Trenton Kemp, CF (15th round)
Michael Gunn, LHP (16th round)
Jeremy Rivera-Valera, SS (17th round)
Devon Fisher, C (20th round)
Francisco Tellez, 1B (24th round)
Ryan Harris, RHP (26th round)
Taylor Nunez, RHP (27th round)

With the new crop of signings, the Red Sox now have signed deals with 29 of their 41 draft picks, including 20 of their top 21. Ninth-rounder Kevin Steen, a right-handed pitcher from Oak Ridge, Tenn., is Boston’s highest pick who has not yet signed with the team.
