Reports from early Friday indicated that Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James reached out to Minnesota Timberwolves star Kevin Love, and apparently, his efforts weren’t for nothing.

The Timberwolves and Cavaliers have discussed a trade that would send Love to Cleveland for Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett, NBA sources told ESPN on Friday. The Cavaliers are also willing to give up a first-round draft choice for next season in addition to Wiggins and Bennett, the league’s No. 1 draft picks in the past two drafts.

Minnesota is reportedly also engaged in trade talks with the Golden State Warriors, though the Warriors are still unwilling to trade Klay Thompson.

Chris Broussard of ESPN also wrote that there is “a feeling around the league” that Minnesota is making the Warriors and Cavaliers compete in order to sweeten their end of a deal for Love.
