Roger GoodellFootball fans in Los Angeles could finally have a pro team in their city again.

Though the NFL has not had a team in L.A. since the Raiders left for Oakland in 1994, the league is looking into multiple sites where a potential stadium could be built, the Los Angeles Times reported Saturday. There are many scenarios for the financing of the stadium, including a situation where the league would have control over the new venue.

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft said he’s all for the NFL owning a stadium in southern California.

“Whatever gets us a team in L.A., that would be awesome,” Kraft said. “That might be the solution. Whatever it takes, I know I’d be willing to support.”

This news comes a day after Los Angeles was named along with Chicago as one of the two cities the NFL is considering to host the 2015 draft. Whether or not the city gets to hold the event, it appears the NFL has some serious plans to get back to Los Angeles soon.
