When Pau Gasol turned down a two-year contract offer from the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday, it seemed clear that he’d play elsewhere next season.
The next day, Gasol chose his destination.

Gasol and the Bulls were closing in on a sign-and-trade deal that would have sent the big man to Chicago in exchange for draft pick compensation, but that deal fell through, so he’ll sign directly with the team, sources told ESPN.
The Bulls must make a corresponding roster move, as they don’t have any salary-cap space.
