Steve Lyons: Tough Decisions Loom For Red Sox As Division Deficit Grows

The Boston Red Sox provided some reason for optimism in July, getting hot around the All-Star break and briefly moving out of last place in the American League East.

That hope has dwindled of late, though, as the Red Sox dropped their series finale against the Toronto Blue Jays 8-0 and now sit nine games behind the division-leading Baltimore Orioles. It’s not where the squad imagined it would be less than a year removed from winning the World Series, but as NESN’s Steve Lyons explains, it might be time to start improving the club for 2015.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
