After a 1-0 loss to Germany became the most celebrated defeat in U.S. Soccer history when it helped the United States advance to the Round of 16, the Americans get ready to take on dark horse Belgium on Tuesday for a chance to advance to the quarterfinals of the World Cup for the first time since 2002.
That sentence alone is enough to get most of the nation jacked up for the showdown against the Red Devils, especially considering that the U.S. has tuned into soccer in record numbers during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
