2014-15 NBA Schedule Released: Marquee Games, Notable Dates For Season

The schedule for the 2014-15 NBA season was announced Wednesday.

The new campaign begins Tuesday, Oct. 28, with three matchups: the Dallas Mavericks at the defending league champion San Antonio Spurs, the Houston Rockets at the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Orlando Magic at the New Orleans Pelicans. The first two games will be on TNT, and the Magic-Pelicans contest will be broadcast on NBA League Pass.

The Boston Celtics will open the season Oct. 29 against the Brooklyn Nets at TD Garden.

Here’s a look at the number of national television games that each team has for the upcoming season, per CBS Sports.

The 2015 NBA All-Star Game will be held Feb. 15 at Madison Square Garden. Teams and players will have a seven-day All-Star break from Feb. 12 through Feb. 19.

The regular season concludes April 15, and the 2015 NBA playoffs begin April 18.
