Albert Pujols decided 19 innings were enough.

Pujols lifted the Los Angeles Angels past the Boston Red Sox 5-4 on Saturday — early Sunday morning, to be exact — with a walk-off home run in the 19th inning at Angel Stadium. The blast, which came off Brandon Workman, capped a marathon affair that lasted six hours, 31 minutes.

Even Pujols’ homer wasn’t without some extra time. The umpires were forced to review the play to make sure it cleared the yellow line atop the wall in right-center field. The ball bounced back onto the field of play and there was some question as to whether a fan reached over.

Approximately 90 seconds later, the umpires upheld the initial call, kicking off a celebration in Anaheim.
