The hockey goal celebration game was recently taken to an entirely different level, in Australia of all places.

Ric Del Basso scored a game-winning shootout goal on Saturday night for the Perth Thunder in Australian Ice Hockey League action. That was cause for celebration, and Del Basso upped the ante when it comes to celebratory antics.

After netting the game-winner, Del Basso skated up the ice and then decided to slide across the sheet. Instead of belly flopping or going to his knees or something like that, Del Basso decided to use his head — literally.

As Yahoo’s Puck Daddy blog points out, Del Basso is also a co-owner of the Thunder.
