The Boston Red Sox aren’t having the most successful season at the plate in 2014, but they still have players who can provide plenty of pop.
Mike Napoli reminded us of that in a big way on Tuesday, when he smacked an absolute bomb into the top deck of the Rogers Centre in the 11th inning of Boston’s 11-7 win over the Toronto Blue Jays.
Napoli wasn’t the only player who displayed an impressive feat of strength this week, as Colorado Rockies outfielder Corey Dickerson did his best Barry Bonds impression by launching one into McCovey Cove at AT&T Park against the San Francisco Giants.
The rest of this week’s homers include a grand slam from Houston Astros catcher Jason Castro, a go-ahead two-run blast in the 11th inning by Cleveland Indians rookie Zach Walters and a two-run dinger from Ike Davis that ricocheted off a speaker at PNC Park.
