Cleveland Indians ace Corey Kluber is experiencing a breakout season on the mound, but his talents extend off the diamond too, it seems.

The 28-year-old right-hander, who is 13-6 with a 2.41 ERA this season, has been downright dominant since the All-Star break, posting a 0.76 ERA, and a 0.69 WHIP to go along with 55 strikeouts over 47 2/3 innings. But when Kluber isn’t busy striking out everyone in sight, he’s working on his best Rust Cohle impression from the popular HBO series “True Detective.”

Kluber’s steely demeanor on the mound has prompted some to draw comparisons to the Matthew McConaughey character, so the hurler gave the people what they wanted. Kluber recited some of Cohle’s most cryptic lines from the show — while donning a fantastic blonde wig, of course — in an audition tape for “True Detective.”
