It’s safe to say that Javier Baez is adjusting well to the major leagues.
The highly-touted Chicago Cubs prospect made a statement in his major league debut Tuesday night, hitting the game-winning home runĀ in the 12th inningĀ against the Colorado Rockies. The 21-year-old phenom gave Cubbies fans all sorts of hope after that feat, and he hasn’t disappointed them since.
Baez hit not one, but two bombs, during Thursday’s 6-2 win against the Rockies. Oh yeah, it was also just his third MLB game.

The young infielder’s three blasts in three games puts him in elite company, as well, as he fittingly becomes just the third player in MLB history to do so.

Baez will make his much-anticipated Wrigley Field debut on Friday, but we have a feeling he’s not going to want to leave Colorado after his strong start.
