Darrelle Revis Makes ‘Space Jam’ Reference About Playing Jets In 2014

NFL: Preseason-Carolina Panthers at New England PatriotsDarrelle Revis would play a collection of aliens with the ability to steal All-Pro talent if that team was on the New England Patriots’ schedule this year.

The Patriots cornerback referenced “Space Jam” when asked about playing against his former team, the New York Jets, in 2014. Revis returned to MetLife Stadium, home of the Jets, on Thursday night, but didn’t play in the Patriots’ preseason finale against the New York Giants.

“It doesn’t matter,” Revis told The Providence Journal’s Mark Daniels about playing the Jets. “If the Monstars were on the schedule, that’s what it is. It really doesn’t matter.”

If any cornerback could beat the Monstars, it clearly would be Revis.

Revis and the Patriots will return to MetLife Stadium on Dec. 21 when they take on the Jets. Revis likely will be met by a shower of boos, much like any Nerdluck who enters Looney Tune Land.
