David Ortiz doesn’t play the field too often. So why not have some fun out there?

Ortiz, playing first base Tuesday in the Boston Red Sox’s 3-2 win over the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park, chased a pop-up over toward the seats in the eighth inning. Big Papi eventually ran out of real estate as the ball entered the crowd.

Ortiz wasn’t going to let his hustle go for naught, though. The nine-time All-Star decided to dish out a high five with his glove to a lucky fan sitting in the first row. There were smiles all around.

A souvenir and a high five from arguably the greatest designated hitter in Major League Baseball history? Not a bad day at the yard.
