According to the police report, which TMZ Sports obtained, Oden and his estranged girlfriend were out drinking at a nightclub together before returning to his mother’s home in Lawrence, Indiana, around 3:30 a.m.

It was when they returned home, the report shows, that Oden got physical with the woman, pushing her and striking her with “closed-fist” punches to the face. Oden reportedly struck her three times, once in the left eye, once in the nose and once in the forehead.

Oden’s strike to her forehead caused her to start bleeding, which prompted him to stop, according to TMZ. He then called the police himself. The woman suffered a broken nose and also had to get three stitches to close a gash on her forehead.

Oden now faces a felony charge of battery resulting in serious bodily injury, as well as misdemeanor charges of domestic battery and battery resulting in serious bodily injury.

The free-agent center will make his first court appearance Tuesday.
