The New England Patriots lost a key cog in their offensive line earlier this week when they traded Logan Mankins to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Yet life in the NFL goes on, and that was the motto when the Patriots took the field in their final preseason game against the New York Giants.
Former Patriot Jermaine Wiggins recognizes that the loss of Mankins is significant, but he says it will still be “business as usual” for the offensive line unit moving forward.
“Yes, you lose a very good player in Logan Mankins, but he’s a left guard,” said Wiggins. … If he was a left tackle, you’d have a little more concern there.”
