Dustin Pedroia will miss a game because of injury Sunday, but Boston Red Sox manager John Farrell hopes his second baseman won’t miss many more.
Pedroia was forced to leave Saturday night’s contest against Tampa Bay after being elbowed in the head by Rays baserunner Logan Forsythe.
The Red Sox second baseman experienced “concussion-like” symptoms after the game, but Farrell said Pedroia improved Sunday morning and was his normal jovial self in the locker room.
“Dustin’s Dustin, and maybe to another level this morning,” Farrell told reporters. “So as far as the behavior, he’s doing great.”
