John Farrell Searching For Answers After Koji Uehara Struggles Continue (Video)

The recent struggles of Boston Red Sox closer Koji Uehara have prompted plenty of questions, but not many answers.

The 39-year-old, who blew his second consecutive save opportunity Monday night before the Red Sox came back to defeat the Toronto Blue Jays 4-3 in 10 innings, has given up seven runs on 10 hits over 3 1/3 innings during his last four outings.

It’s becoming more and more evident that Uehara isn’t the same pitcher he was earlier this season, but manager John Farrell and the Red Sox don’t believe his issues are due to fatigue or overuse, leading them to speculate about what the real root of the problem might be.

Check out the video above to hear more from Farrell on his closer.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
