Texas Tech football coach Kliff Kingsbury decided it was time to participate in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, and he did so in a very bold way.
Kingsbury challenged the one and only Beyonce while wearing a t-shirt that read “Beyonce is Bae.” He also called out three Denver Broncos players and former Texas Tech Red Raiders — wide receiver Wes Welker and linemen Manny Ramirez and Louis Vasquez — to participate in the challenge that raises awareness for ALS.

Though the nominations were certainly noteworthy, the execution in this edition of the Ice Bucket Challenge was poor. The Texas Tech mascot almost completely missed Kingsbury, dousing him with ice-cold water only on his shorts.

We can only hope that he was given the proper bath after he evaded so much water the first time.
Meanwhile, the world now waits in anticipation for Beyonce’s response.
