Not every top prospect succeeds in the NFL, no matter how successful their college campaign was.
Quarterbacks Matt Leinart and JaMarcus Russell understand this fact all too well.
Leinart, the 2004 Heisman Trophy winner for USC, and Russell, the No. 1 pick in the 2007 NFL draft out of LSU, came into the league with impressive college statistics under their belts, but neither of their careers panned out, and they’re both currently free agents.
But at least they can have fun with their lack of NFL success.
Leinart and Russell appear in Dish Network’s latest ad — along with Tennessee’s Heath Shuler and Oklahoma’s Brian Bosworth — where they reminisce about the “glory days” of college ball.
