The Panda’s Friend made his Venice Beach debut.

Former NBA All-Star Metta World Peace — who wants to be known as “The Panda’s Friend” when he plays in China for the Sichuan Blue Whales — attended a streetball game in Venice, Calif., with his Venice Basketball League team Sunday.

He didn’t play, but he did don a panda costume.

The VBL says he’ll be back at the courts on Aug. 17 for their celebrity game, which will likely feature more panda antics.
