Two of the most talked about NFL rookies met in a preseason game Saturday night, and almost broke the Internet.

During the fourth quarter of the St. Louis Rams-Cleveland Browns matchup, defensive end Michael Sam showed off his speed and sacked Johnny Manziel for a six-yard loss. But Sam’s work wasn’t done there. He then celebrated the feat by throwing up Johnny Football’s trademark money sign.

Manziel had busted out the celebration earlier in the half after scoring his first-ever rushing touchdown, but when Sam saw his opportunity to give the Browns quarterback a taste of his own medicine, he couldn’t resist.

“If you’re going to sack Johnny, you’ve got to do that once,” Sam said after the game, via Cleveland.com.

Fortunately, Manziel didn’t respond with any gestures of his own this time around.

Sam, the league’s first openly gay player, is still vying for a spot on the Rams’ 53-man roster. The rookie recorded another sack against Manziel later in the game, bringing his preseason total up to three after recording his first sack last week against the Green Bay Packers.
