Mookie Betts has done a heck of a job learning on the fly this season.
The 21-year-old not only had to adjust to major league pitching when he was called up this season, but he has also had to learn a new position. The second baseman-turned-center fielder has experienced some bumps along the way, but Betts told NESN’s Elle Duncan that he’s getting more comfortable every day as the jitters he first experienced have disappeared.
While Betts is finding his groove in the outfield and at the plate, as he’s in the midst of a career-high eight-game hit streak, he still thinks there’s plenty of room for improvement.
