Baseball gloves — so overrated.

During the 10th inning of Wednesday night’s Boston Red Sox game in Toronto, a foul ball by Will Middlebrooks floated out of reach of the Blue Jays’ fielders but made a beeline straight for NESN’s Gary Striewski.

The sideline reporter avoided taking the baseball off the dome, though, and instead was able to snare it out of the air with an impressive one-handed catch.

Apparently inspired by Gary’s display of fielding prowess — his second of the season — the Red Sox went on to score seven runs in the 11th inning en route to an 11-7 win.
